Hyperhidrosis Treatment in Fort Myers, FL

If you are experiencing excessive sweating, it may be more than just the warm Florida weather. Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive underarm sweating, and can be a huge inconvenience and discomfort. At Florida Skin Center, we offer hyperhidrosis treatment to men and women living in Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres, FL.

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive sweating, especially under the arms. This can cause discomfort, embarrassment, and other issues for those who have it. Florida Skin Center offers excessive sweating treatments to help guests increase comfort and improve confidence. In some cases, prescriptions can provide a sufficient reduction in sweating. For guests looking for more dramatic results, we may recommend Botox®.

What is Botox® for Hyperhidrosis?

You may have heard of Botox® for treating fine lines and wrinkles, but this product can also be used to decrease excessive underarm sweating. Through injections of Botox® into your underarms, you will see a significant reduction in your underarm sweating. Botox® works by blocking the nerve signals that trigger sweating. By blocking these signals, guests can enjoy a significant reduction in underarm sweating.

Additionally, we use Botox® in our Cape Coral Office to treat sweaty hands. It’s injected into the hands in a close-knit pattern, and the effects typically last for years.

What Can I Expect from Treatment?

If you are concerned about pain or discomfort from your injections, a topical numbing medication can be applied prior to treatment. A special test is then performed to determine the areas of the underarms that produce the most perspiration. Next, the Botox® is injected into these areas, and treatment is complete. You can expect to return to full activities immediately following treatment. Best of all, after just one treatment, you can enjoy results that last up to six months.

How Much Does Hyperhidrosis Treatment Cost?

In order to determine the exact cost of your treatment, we invite guests to schedule an appointment so that we can develop a personalized treatment plan that will satisfy both your health and cosmetic goals. Once a treatment plan is determined, we will be able to provide a clear breakdown of costs. To make our services accessible to those who need them, we offer flexible financing and payment options. We also accept insurance when applicable.
