A physician assistant at Florida Skin Center, Soledad Triana is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as a Fellow Member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Soledad graduated from Nova Southeastern University, receiving a Master of Medical Science — Physician Assistant. Her previous education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Mar del Plata in Argentina and an Associate degree in respiratory care from the former Edison State College in Fort Myers. At this institution, she earned the Edison State College Outstanding Respiratory Care Student Academic Award and the Laurel Dawn McNew Scholarship for Respiratory Care, made the Dean’s List, and became a member of the Lambda Beta Society — the National Honor Society for the Profession of Respiratory Care.
Soledad completed a multitude of clinical rotations throughout the region, including pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology and emergency medicine. She concluded her education with Dermatology training at Florida Skin Center, under the supervision of Dr. Badia and Shirisha Vallarapu.
In terms of professional medical experience, Soledad was a Registered Respiratory Therapist for three years at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. As such, she obtained the National Board of Respiratory Care certifications of Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist and Pulmonary Function Technologist. Today, she provides routine skin checks to patients, as well as performs biopsies and excisions, among other on-site dermatological procedures.
