Florida Skin Center understands that these are challenging times and we want to let you know that FSC will continue to serve you with respect, compassion, and care during the Coronavirus pandemic. We truly appreciate the privilege of taking care of your skin, and we are continuously searching for innovative methods to keep you safe while meeting all of your skin care needs. Rest assured that we are actively putting protocols and procedures in place to protect our guests and minimize the effects of COVID-19. Our company and team members follow all CDC guidelines and practice social distancing, including expediting check-in and check-out procedures, rearranging waiting lounge seating to allow for appropriate space between guests, and providing arrangements for those that prefer to wait in their cars, among others. We also enquire about and monitor our guest’s signs and symptoms before their appointment and reschedule their visit if appropriate. FSC team members perform a thorough sanitation of our facilities several times a day and observe protocols that include frequent disinfection of surfaces and instruments, hand washing, use of sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, and personal protective equipment like masks, gloves, and goggles.
In addition, we have expanded our Dermatology services through Telemedicine, utilizing the HIPAA compliant platform called Doxy.me. With this technology, guests who do not need to be seen in person or those in self-quarantine, isolation, or sick due to the COVID-19 pandemic, can have a consultation with an FSC Dermatology provider over the internet, from the comfort and safety of their own home. These appointments are available for new or established guests, and are covered by most insurance companies, including Medicare. Currently, Florida Skin Center is waiving copays for participating plans and also offers excellent special pricing for self-pay guests, so that everyone can benefit from online Dermatology visits. During your Telemedicine appointment you can be diagnosed and treated in minutes, follow-up on the progress of your existing condition, and receive prescriptions electronically at your preferred pharmacy.
